A few of their amenities, designed with their customer in mind, include: Music in the hallways—this was introduced, to relax people since the moving process is often so stressful. Conference room usage—equipped with Wi-Fi, this space was created to promote productivity for their clients and provides a safe place to work while visiting their storage space. Better yet, this conference room doubles as a space for the community to utilize, especially during the holidays. During the most recent holiday season, all locations turned the conference rooms into Santa’s workshop with wrapping paper and all the supplies to wrap Christmas gifts that can be shipped directly! Coffee bar—each location has a fully stocked coffee bar, for customers to enjoy while chatting with the service team. This helps create a lasting sense of community.

Amazing Spaces® is constantly innovating as they strive to provide a cohesive marriage between top- shelf customer amenities and exceptional customer service. As a result, Amazing Spaces® has recently added new roles within their company. These brand-new evolutions are designed specifically to further their commitment to the client experience and to provide better support for their amazing team members. Meet some of the A-player directors and management that make all the difference:
Heather Reynolds Sanchez, Managing Director—With more than seven years at Amazing Spaces®, Sanchez initially began her journey leading all of the accounting and human resource efforts. Today, she serves as the company’s managing director and oversees all six locations, supervising operations, accounting, human resources and the management team. “I love how the people and processes work together to achieve our goals. The team here truly is my extended family,” says Sanchez. In addition to graduating from Houston Baptist University with her bachelor’s degree in business and psychology, she is currently pursuing her master’s degree in human resources development as well as taking classes for a commercial real estate license. She loves giving back to her community through church involvement in women’s events and is a volunteer for HR Houston. When not creating amazing customer experiences, Sanchez is spending time with her husband, daughter, and 3 dogs.
Kelsey Morrill, Business Development Director—Morrill joined the Amazing Spaces® family in 2014 after seeking-out a self-storage facility, following a recent move to Houston, TX. When Morrill visited the Amazing Spaces® property, she couldn’t help but be intrigued by the locally owned company and unique product and experience they provide. “I was intrigued that a storage company of this caliber actually existed. As I continued to research more about them, I saw they were hiring for a marketing director and that’s when I realized the potential of working for this amazing company. Four years later, and I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. The company culture and shared vision among the team, is truly unmatched.” Morrill recently began her new position as business development director where she manages business strategy, digital media, marketing execution, and overseeing the client experience. Morrill’s education and career are highly decorated as a high honors graduate and program scholar from Illinois State University with her bachelor’s degree in human resources and marketing and most recently earning her master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing. Morrill moved to Houston five years ago and she has come to love the strong sense of community in Houston, the excitement the city holds and the amazing food. Kelsey enjoys spending time with her husband, two cats, and indulging in desserts, especially macaroons and cupcakes.
Carmen Duenas, Area Manager—Duenas has been in the storage center industry for more than 15 years and recently joined the Amazing Spaces team as area manager. She was initially attracted to Amazing Spaces® because of the, “Company culture and the property really IS amazing and sells itself, ”says Duenas. Her main role involves visiting the various stores, supporting the managers, training, advising, and assisting with customer relations. With a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in management, Duenas is equipped with not only ample experience, but, education as well. Additionally, she is currently pursuing her MBA and is half way through the program. When not working, she enjoys coaching volleyball and baking with her two daughters.
Megan Gilbert, Client Services Manager—Gilbert started with Amazing Spaces® eight years ago as a leasing and sales agent, and has recently promoted to client services manager. Throughout the years, she has held various management roles within the company, including managing four out of their six properties. Today, in her current role, she supports employees in systems and customer service to develop the best possible experience for their customers. When asked what her favorite part about working at Amazing Spaces® is, she replied, “Being able to be there for our customers, as they go through transitional stages in their life. I enjoy helping people and welcoming them into the warm atmosphere that we provide.” Gilbert has thoroughly enjoyed working at different locations and getting to know each individual clientele, it is with that knowledge and experience that she can lead the team. When not working, Gilbert enjoys cooking, spending time with her daughter, her fiancé and their guinea pigs.
Casey Vilven, Office Manager—With a career history as an executive assistant, recruiter and her extensive experience in office administration and accounting, Vilven was the perfect fit for the latest job innovation at Amazing Spaces®. Her day to day responsibilities include accounting for all of the company entities, corporate event planning, auditing, corporate calendar maintenance, and marketing/human resources support. Vilven enjoys, “The employees I get the privilege of working with and the amazing culture.” She enjoys volunteering as President of the golf booster club and most recently organized a fundraiser for one of the golf coaches, who passed away from pancreatic cancer. Vilven lives in Magnolia with her husband and 2 children.
