welcome you to our city and the great state of Texas.
Moving anywhere is a big change and can certainly rattle the nerves. But if you’re
moving to Houston, you can rest a little easier. When moving to Houston, be prepared
for good food, good music, and good people. This cultural hub will greet you with the
warm southern hospitality Texas is famous for.
Of course, we can’t cover everything this lovely city has to offer in one blog post. But
we can certainly highlight a few. After you’ve unpacked your bags and finished physically
moving to Houston, there are a few things you should mark down on your calendar.
• Check out the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. This 20-day event takes place from
late February to early March.
• You can actually take a visit to NASA and see where it all started.
• Wings over Houston Air Show at Ellington Field is usually held in October.
• Other annual events include the Houston Greek Festival, Art Car Parade, the Houston
Auto Show, the Puerto Rican & Cuban festival, the Houston International Festival, and
the Bayou City Art Festival.
Houston is a thriving city of cultural diversity. As the fourth largest city in the United States,
there isn’t much this lovely city doesn’t have to offer. So, if you’re moving to Houston, you
might want to get use to saying, “Houston, we have no problems.”
