Meet the A-Team! Get to Know Randy from our Woodlands ~ Magnolia Property

This month we have another A-Team member that we’re recognizing for his outstanding dedication to providing our amazing customers the best experience. Randy is our Leasing and Sales Consultant at our Magnolia location. His experience and passion for customer service have made him an amazing asset to our team and his hard work deserves to be highlighted, let’s get to know him better!

How He Found His Home at Amazing Spaces

Randy is originally from Michigan and worked there for several years before moving to Texas 21 years ago to reunite with his family. He’s a true family man who grew up with one brother and two sisters, raised by their father who was a country preacher. His father always influenced him to help others through community service, so growing up he was no stranger to painting  churches, hosting ice cream social events for the neighborhood, and volunteering at the local homeless shelter.

Eventually, Randy raised two children of his own and is now a grandfather of to five little girls! In Michigan, Randy worked as a Cable TV Technician for over 12 years, once he moved to Texas, he became a man of many passions, working as an operations manager of a hazardous waste company, a gas contractor for Center Point, and a security guard.

In February of 2020 he was looking for a new job and that’s when he found his home here, with us. When we asked Randy about his favorite part of the job, he replied that he loves the people he works with, including the owners, Scott and Kathy and their continuous generosity.

Providing the Best Customer Service

As one of our Leasing and Sales Consultants, Randy has been known for executing the sale, but most importantly, satisfying our customers. He’s always looking to help those in need and goes out of his way to work closely with both local and customers out of state to make sure their paperwork is filled out and the moving process goes smoothly. A large part of Randy’s job is managing the Penske truck rentals and fulfilling customer needs in terms of sizing, pads, and protection within the trucks.

One great example of how he has gone above and beyond for our customers was when a customer wanted to move his belongings into a smaller unit—Randy allowed them to use a truck on the property to move things more efficiently and even provided water and snacks as an extra courtesy.

Randy the Outdoorsman

Outside of work, Randy has many hobbies that he enjoys doing with his wife. They love to fish, go antiquing, and traveling or what he likes to call “Glamping” on the weekend with their travel trailer. He says his favorite places that he has traveled within Texas is to the Palo Duro Canyon State Park. He and his wife plan to do much more travel in the coming months as they explore all the beauty that Texas has to offer!
